BOOKING YOUR WAY
Things to remember if you are booking your own way
PASSPORT & VISA
We all know that passports are needed to travel overseas but what some people don't realise is that many countries require 6 months left on your passport from the day you fly home and some countries require visas or visa waivers - A great website to check if you need a visa is https://www.travisa.com/
When planning your trip remember where possible, be flexible, with your travel dates and plans. Booking your flight 2 days earlier may save you hundreds of dollars.
“if you can't afford travel insurance, you can't afford to travel”
As many precautions as you take to keep yourself safe, accidents can and often do happen.
Bags get lost, Passports get stolen, Illness & injuries happen.
While travel insurance won't cover everything, It can save you thousands if the worst happens.
Did you know the Louve is closed on a Tuesday and is free on the first Friday of every month or that the Line to visit the State Hermitage in St. Petersburg is often 3+ hours long.
Some quick research before you travel can save you time, money and the heartache of missing out on something that you have dreamed of experiencing.
While not technically a tip for booking a flight its important to remember if you are travelling to a destination that requires them remember to get vaccinated at least 4 weeks before you travel.
There is nothing worse than coming back from a vacation exhausted. Allow yourself a little time everywhere you go to relax and enjoy where you are.
CHECK THE DETAILS
It may seem very obvious but this is a very common problem. Double check and then triple check the details on all you bookings. Is your name spelt correctly, are the times and dates correct (Remember America type their dates Month/Day/Year while pretty much everywhere else types Day/Month/Year.
